In the charming flower-decked village of Lantignie, Jacky Gaulthier and his family manage Domaine de Colette in an eco-aware manner and practice “Lutte RaisonnĂ©e”. Only organic manure is used as well as grassing over and shallow ploughing. The soil is granitic and the bush trained vines average 40 years old. The harvest is all carried out by hand with yields never exceeding 45hl per ha. His Beaujolais-Villages should be tasted by anybody who wants to know what Beaujolais-Villages is meant to taste like.
