In his annual South African Wine Report, highly regarded English wine journalist Tim Atkin MW has stated that “South Africa is currently the most exciting New World wine producing nation on the planet”.
There has been a remarkable transformation over the last few decades in the Cape and there is a real buzz in the air with a whole generation of new young wine makers making some wonderful wines from old vines and in many cases newer regions.
Alistair Gibson from Heritage Cellars, lived in Cape Town for a number of years and visits this beautiful wine region regularly. Alistair will of just returned from 2 weeks travelling in the the Cape Wine lands prior’s to this dinner and he will present some wines from his trip paired with a four course dinner advised by Chef Gary Pearce and his team.
